Market Description
ISM-2400
|
The 2.4 GHz ISM band tends to be the choice for higher (sometimes Megabit/sec) data rate systems such as local area networks (LANs). This band is less cluttered than the 900 MHz band, and offers 83 MHz of bandwidth instead of just 26 MHz. Outside the United States, this portion of the frequency spectrum is often available for commercial use. 2.4 GHz wireless designs commonly use FSK, BPSK, and QPSK modulation schemes, and consequently may require sophisticated RFICs such as vector modulators. The 802.11 standard for wireless data applies to this band
