C Band / TVRO

C band direct satellite broadcast television, also called Television Receive Only or TVRO, is named for the letter designation of the 4 GHz band in which it broadcasts. TVRO was the original satellite broadcast market in the US, and is now a relatively mature market. The low frequency of operation requires a relatively large (approximately 10 ~12 foot diameter) receiving dish or antenna.
