Total Power

(PT)

The total power dissipated in a transistor, equal to the sum of the DC and RF power inputs minus the RF power output, as given by the equation

PT = Vc X Ic + Pin - Pout

where
Vc is the DC voltage applied across the transistor in Volts
Ic is the collector current flowing through the transistor in Amperes.
Pin is the RF input power (in Watts)
Pout is the RF output power (in Watts)
