Modulation or Tuning Sensitivity Variation
(of an Oscillator)

The change in the first derivative of the tuning curve in MHz/V as a function of tuning voltage and/or frequency.

For Agilent Technologies oscillator products, tuning sensitivity is usually specified as a percentage change of the first derivative over an incremental frequency range. The direction of tuning for measurement should be specified. Tuning sensitivity may also be specified as the ratio of the maximum to minimum value of the first derivative.
